How To

If you are new to the site and are wondering what to do next, you can find a suggested order of things to do in our "Help" section.
Below you will find instructions that detail how to navigate through our host of great features.  One of our aims in creating this site was to make it as user-friendly as possible.  If there are questions about navigation that are not answered here please contact us using our contact us menu choice.  Thanks

Blogs


 Add to your preferred list
Select "My friends" from the third tier menu.  Choose the supporter that you would like to receive a copy of the blogs that you post.  Click "Preferred" below their name and they will be added to your preferred list. 

Create / Add
From your profile information page, scroll down to the my blog section in the middle of the page.  Complete blog entries and click on "Post blog" to complete process.

Delete your blog
From your profile information page, scroll down to the my blog section in the middle of the page. Click on "View my blog" located on the bottom right side of my blog area. Select and click on the blog that you desire to delete from the list. Click on "Delete."

Edit your blog
From your profile information page, scroll down to the my blog section in the middle of the page. Click on "View my blog" located on the bottom right side of my blog area. Select and click on the blog that you desire to edit from the list. Click "edit" and make changes.  Click on "Edit Blog to complete the process.

Post a comment to a blog entry
Click on "Blogs" located on the second tier menu.  Or from your profile information page, you can scroll down to the my blog section in the middle of the page and click on "View my blogs" located on the bottom right side of my blog area. Click on "View all blog" from the my controls menu on the left side of the blog control center page.  Scroll through the blogs to find the desired blog that you would like to comment on and click on it.  Click on "Add comment" located under the author's entry. Complete your comment, give kudos and click on "Post" to complete the process (You cannot add a post to a blog whose author's profile page is locked or set to private - unless you are on his/her supporter's list.)

See who has subscribed to your blog
From your profile information page, scroll down to the my blog section in the middle of the page. Click on "View my blog" located on the bottom right side of my blog area. Move down to the bottom menu on the left side menu and click on "My readers."
 

Subscribe to another community member's blog
Navigate to community member's profile page.  Click on "Subscribe to blog" located under the member's profile picture. 

View blog(s) of a specific Community Member
Navigate to another Community Member's profile page and click on "View blogs created;" located below the Community Member's photo.

View blogs of all Community Members
Click on "Blogs" located on the second tier menu.  Or from your profile information page, you can scroll down to the my blog section in the middle of the page and click on "View my blogs" located on the bottom right side of my blog area. Click on "View all blog" from the my controls menu on the left side of the blog control center page.

View blogs that you created
From your profile information page, scroll down to the my blog section in the middle of the page. Click on "View my blog" located on the bottom right side of my blog area. Select the blog that you desire to view from the list.

View posted information about your blog entry (# of posts, comments, views, and Kudos for the day, week and total)
Click on "Blogs" located on the second tier menu.  Or from your profile information page, you can scroll down to the my blog section in the middle of the page and click on "View my blogs" located on the bottom right side of my blog area. Look under your profile picture on the left side of the blog control center page.

View list of preferred supporters
Click on "Blogs" located on the second tier menu.  Or from your profile information page, you can scroll down to the my blog section in the middle of the page and click on "View my blogs" located on the bottom right side of my blog area. Select "Preferred list" from the menu selections on the left side of the page.

Community Misc.  


Community Misc.  (Delete entry)
Select "Manage comm. entry" from the menu on the left side of the profile information page.  Select "Manage comm. entry" from the Community misc. menu on the left side of the Manage comm. entry page.  If entry has not already been accepted you may be able to delete it.  If it has already been accepted you will not be able to delete it.

Community Misc. (Post an entry)Select "Manage comm. entry" from the menu on the left side of the profile information page.  Select "Post comm. entry" from the Community misc. menu on the left side of the Manage comm. entry page.  Fill in the form with title of entry and actual entry.  Click on submit to enter entry.  You will only be able to complete one entry per contest.  (Be sure to remain within the word limit for the contest.)

Community Misc. (View all entries)
Select "Manage comm. entry" from the menu on the left side
of the profile information page. Select "View all comm. entry" from the Community misc. menu on the Manage comm. entry page.  All of the entries received and accepted will appear here.  You can also go to the homepage and click on the "Community misc" tab to view the same information.

Community Misc. (Vote )
Select "Manage comm. entry" from the menu on the left side
of the profile information page. Select "Vote comm. entry" from the Community misc. menu on the Manage comm. entry page. This will take you to the homepage community Misc. section.  To enter your vote, scroll through the entries and click on the word 'vote.'  You are only able to submit one vote per day, and you can only vote while the voting period is active.  Each contest has rules concerning the time limits for voting. You can also submit votes simply by going to the home page and clicking on the Communty misc. tab and then selecting vote beside the entry of your choice.

E-Mail (Internal)

Address book (Add/Delete addresses)
Community members are automatically added to your address book when you accept them as your supporters or they accept you likewise.  To delete a community member from your address book you must delete them from your supporter's list (Go to my friend's menu on your profile page and click on "Edit friends"  Choose the community member that you desire to delete and click on "delete" located below the member's photo.

Delete messages sent to you
Scroll down to the mail box menu on the left side of the profile information page.  Select "inbox" from the menu. Scroll through the list of messages and mark the message(s) that you desire to delete.  Click on "Delete message" to complete the process.


Delete Sent messages from list
Scroll down to the mail box menu on the left side of the profile information page.  Select "Sent" from the menu.  Scroll through the list and mark the sent messages that you desire to delete.  Click "Delete messages" to complete the process (this feature only deletes the message from your list - it does not remove the sent message from the recipients inbox).

Read messages received
Scroll down to the mail box menu on the left side of the profile information page.  Select "Inbox" from the menu. Scroll through the list and click on the subject line of the message that you desire to read.

Reply to messages received
Scroll down to the mail box menu on the left side of the profile information page.  Select "Inbox" from the menu. Scroll through the list and click on the subject line of the message that you desire to read. After the message opens up, click on "reply' at the bottom of the message.  Type your reply message and click "Send message" to complete the process.

Send message
Scroll down to the mail box menu on the left side of the profile information page.  Select "Compose mail" from the menu.  Choose the member that you desire to send a message to from the drop-down list (You can also send a single message to everyone in your address book by choosing "Send to all").  Fill in your subject line and message.  Click on "Send message" to complete the process.

View messages that you have deleted
Scroll down to the mail box menu on the left side of the profile information page.  Select "Deleted" from the menu. 

View messages that you have sent
Scroll down to the mail box menu on the left side of the profile information page.  Select "Sent" from the menu.  Scroll through the list and click "View" beside the chosen message.

Forum

Add a topic under a category or subcategory
Select "Forum" from the second tier menu on the profile information page. Scroll through the list and click on the category and sub-category to reveal the forum topic list.  Click on "Post new Forum" located on the far right side of the page under the third tier menu.  Enter subject and an entry.  Click on"Add topic" to complete the process.

Delete your post
Select "Forum" from the second tier menu on the profile information page. Scroll through the list and click on the category and sub-category to reveal the forum topic list.  Click on the topic of choice. Scroll down to your post and click on "Delete this post."

Delete a topic that you added
Select "Forum" from the second tier menu on the profile information page. Scroll through the list and click on the category and sub-category to reveal the forum topic list. Scroll down to the topic that you added that you desire to delete and click on "Delete this topic."

Edit your post
Select "Forum" from the second tier menu on the profile information page. Scroll through the list and click on the category and sub-category to reveal the forum topic list. Click on the topic of choice. Scroll down to your post and click on "Edit this post" Edit post and click on "Edit post" to complete the process

Edit a topic that you added under a category or subcategory
Select "Forum" from the second tier menu on the profile information page. Scroll through the list and click on the category and sub-category to reveal the forum topic list.  Scroll down to the topic that you added that you desire to edit and click on "Edit this topic" Make desired changes and click on "Edit topic" to complete the process.

Reply to a topic
Select "Forum" from the second tier menu on the profile information page. Scroll through the list and click on the category and sub-category to reveal the forum topic list. Click on the topic of choice. (If you would do not see a topic that would fit a post that you would like to make then you can add a suitable topic under the appropriate category or subcategory) Click on "Reply to post" located on the right side of the page under the third tier menu. Enter your post in the reply area.  Click on "Add post" to complete the process.

View Post
Select "Forum" from the second tier menu on the profile information page. Scroll through the list and click on the category and sub-category to reveal the forum topic list. Click on the topic of choice and all current posts will appear.

Friends / Supporters

Add
To request to be a supporter of another Community Member, navigate to Community Member's page that you desire to add. Scroll down his/her profile page and click on "Request to be a Supporter."  To accept another Community Member as a supporter scroll down your profile information page until you reach your mail box menu.  Click on "Approve friends," and accept the Community Member(s) who have requested to be your supporter(s).

Delete
Click on "My friends" on the third tier menu.  Or click on edit friends from your My friends section located on the right side of your profile information page. Scroll through your supporters and click "delete" under the profile picture of the Community Member that you desire to remove from your supporter list.

View
Click on "My friends" on the third tier menu.  Or click on edit friends from your My friends section ocated on the right side of your profile information page.


Friends (Non-Members)

Send invite
Select "Invite a friend" from menu on left side of profile information page. Fill in the E-mail address(es) of your friend(s) that you desire to send an invitation.  (You can add a personal comment or you can leave the area blank.)  Click "Send Information" to complete the process.

Send a profile of another Community Member
Click on "My friends" on the third tier menu.  Or click on edit friends from your My friends section ocated on the right side of your profile information page. Scroll through your supporters and click "send profile" under the profile picture of the Community Member that you desire to forward a profile.  Fill in the E-mail address and click "Send profile."

View invites sent
Select "Invite a friend" from menu on left side of profile information page. click on "Invites sent."

Group 

Create / Add
Select "Group" from the top tier menu on the main profile information page.  Select "Create group" from groups center menu on left side of group page.  Fill out group information page and click on "Create group" to complete the process.  You can add a photo of the group, symbol or creator.

Search groups that have been created
Select "Group" from the top tier menu on the main profile information page. Select "Search groups" from groups center menu located on the the left side of the My groups page. Fill in search criteria and click on "search."

View group(s) that you have created
Select "Group" from the top tier menu on the main profile information page. Select "My groups" from groups center menu located on the the left side of the My groups page.

View group(s) that you have joined
Select "Group" from the top tier menu on the main profile information page. Select "My joined groups" from groups center menu located on the the left side of the My groups page.

Information Sections

Community Articles
Located on Home page.  Information added to this section is by request only.  We do not accept unsolicited articles or manuscripts.  If you have an article that you would like for us to consider, please send a letter of request detailing the contents of your article (Do not send the article, unless requested to do so!) Forward requests to: Community@resolutionsrus.com

Community Misc.
Located on Home page.  Information added to this section is determined by the promotions committee based on the criteria of the contest or promotion in affect at present time.  The committee will list the address for submissions on the promotions page, or you can contact them directly at: Promotions@resolutionsrs.

Information Page
Select "Information" from third tier menu.  Information that is deemed to be accurate, pertinent, and relevant to our cause at Resolutionsrus can be submitted to the following address for consideration: Resources@resolutionsrus.com.

Non Profit Resources 
Select "Non Profit" from third tier menu. Non-profit resources that you think would be of benefit to other community members can be submitted to the following address for consideration: Resources@resolutionsrus.com.

Resolutions List (Suggestions)
Select "Resolutions" tab on second tiew menu on Home page.  Resolution suggestions can be forwarded to this address for consideration: Contactus@resolutionsrus.com.

Testimonies (Success)
Select "Testimonies" tab from the second tier menu on the profile information page. Testimonies detailing success achieved through use of this site can be forwarded to this address for consideration: Community@resolutionsrus.com. (Most testimonies are accepted and edited.)

Journal

Add entry
Select "View journal" from the menu on the left side of the profile information page.  Select "Post a journal here" from the journal menu on the left side of the add journal page.  Add subject and entry.  Click "Add journal" to complete the process.

Delete entry
Select "View journal" from the menu on the left side of the profile information page.  Scroll through the entries to find the one that you desire to delete and click "Delete this journal."

Edit entry
Select "View journal" from the menu on the left side of the profile information page.  Scroll through the entries to find the one that you desire to edit and click "Edit this journal."  Edit the entry and click "Edit journal " to complete the process.

Music

Add Songs to your library
Select "Edit music profile" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Select "Add music" from the music menu located on the left side of the edit profile page. Once the upload song box appears, type in a song name, and use the "browse" button to locate the song on your hard drive or other type of storage device (You can include the lyrics in box designated for it or just list the name of the artist). To complete the process, click on "Add song" and the song will begin to upload (Only songs in the MP3 file format will load).

Add a Song to your Profile
Select "Edit music profile" from menu on the far left side of profile information page. Select "Add existing song to profile" from music menu on the left side of the edit profile page.  Click on the radial button next to the song that you desire to attach to your profile page. To complete the process click on "Add song."

Delete Song from user library
Select "Edit music profile" from menu on the far left side of profile information page. Select "Manage songs" from music menu on the left side of the edit profile page. Click on "Delete" next to the song(s) that you desire to remove from your library.

View all songs in the music directory
Select "View song" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.

Note of Support to Another Community Member

Send
Navigate to Community Member's page that you desire to leave a note of support.  Scroll down to the note of support section, located on the left side of the profile page.  Type in your note and click on "Submit," to complete the process. (Note: You can only send a note of encouragement to another Community Member if you are a supporter of him/her)

Personal Pages

Create / Add
Select "View personal pages" from menu on left side of profile information page.  Select "Add pages" from the personal pages menu on the left side of the personal pages page.  Enter page information, and click on "add page" to complete the process. (You may have to edit your page a couple of times to get the idea of how things are placed on the page.)(All photos will appear below the text.) 

Delete
Select "View personal pages" from menu on left side of profile information page.  Select "Manage personal pages" from the personal pages menu on the left side of the personal pages page. Choose the page that you desire to delete from the list and Click on "Delete."

Edit
Select "View personal pages" from menu on left side of profile information page.  Select "Manage personal pages" from the personal pages menu on the left side of the personal pages page. Choose the page that you desire to edit from the list and Click on "Edit."

View Personal pages of other members
Navigate to community member's profile page.  Click on "View personal pages" located below the community member's photo on their profile page.

Photos

Add photos (First time)
Select "Edit my photos" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Select "Create album," from the gallery menu (A photo album must first be created before any photos can be uploaded). Provide a name and description  for the album being created in the photo album dialog box. Click on "create" to complete this process.

Add photo to existing photo album
Select "Edit my photos" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Select "Upload photos" from gallery menu.  Choose the album that you desire to add a photo to from the (select album) drop-down box.  Type in a caption (name or short message) for the photo and use the "browse" button to locate the song on your hard drive or other type of storage device. Click on "submit" to begin the upload process (pictures that exceed maximum size limitations will not upload or they will display as a red star inside of a box). 

Change album name or description
Select "Edit my photos" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Select "Modify album" from gallery menu. Locate the album that you desire to edit from the list and click on "edit" in the corresponding row.

Change profile photo
Select "Edit my photos" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Select "Manage album photos" from gallery menu. Choose the album where your desired photo is located from the (select album) drop-down box. Locate the photo that you desire to display as your main profile photo and click on the "Make this image main" choice below the photo.

Delete a photo
Select "Edit my photos" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Select "Manage album photos" from gallery menu. Choose the album where the photo that you desire to delete is located from the (select album) drop-down box. Locate the photo and click on "Delete pic."

Edit caption that appears with photo
Select "Edit my photos" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Select "Manage album photos" from gallery menu. Choose the album where your desired photo is located from the (select album) drop-down box. Locate the photo that you desire to edit and click on the "Edit caption" choice below the photo. Make the needed changes and click on "Save changes" to complete this process.

Profile Information

Add / edit (headliner, about me, affiliations, music likes, interests people you would like to meet, as why you choose to join this site.)
Select "Edit my profile" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Select "Interest & personality" from the edit profile menu located on the left side of the edit profile page. Choose the section that you desire to fill in.  After you have filled in/ or edited all desired information click on "Edit interests and personality button at bottom of the page to complete the process.

Add / edit Profile page questions (Questions of interests)
Select "View my profile" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Scroll down until you see the questions of interest section located on the right side of the page under the account information section.  Click on the question that you desire to answer and a dialog box will allow you to input your information.  After you initially answer any question you can edit or delete your answer following the same process.

Add / edit School information
Select "Edit my profile" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Select "Schools" from the edit profile menu located on the left side of the edit profile page. Add, or edit information accordingly.  If you are adding a school please be sure to click on "Add new school" button at bottom of the page to complete the process.

Add/ edit Testimony/Insight on profile page
Select "Edit my profile" from the menu on the left side of the profile information page.  Select "Interests and Personality" from the edit profile menu on the edit profile page.  Locate the "Testimony/Insight" input box and type in your information.

Edit basic
Select "Edit my profile" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  This basic information screen will allow you to change the majority of the information that you entered when you registered to the site as a community member.

Edit (update) E-mail address
Select "Edit my profile" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Select "Change E-mail" from the edit profile menu located on the left side of the edit profile page. After you have edited your E-mail address click on "Save changes" button at bottom of the page to complete the process.

Edit "search" name
Select "Edit my profile" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Select "Name" from the edit profile menu located on the left side of the edit profile page. Make desired changes and click on "Edit name" to complete the process.

View live profile
To see how your profile page appears to other community members select "View my profile" from the menu on the left side of the profile information page.


Reflection

Add
Select "View reflections" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Input a title and your entry.  Choose whether you desire for your entry to be viewable by the public or just by you.  Choose "Add reflection" to complete the process.

Delete / Edit your reflection entry
Select "View reflections" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Select "View my reflections" from the menu on the left hand side of the page.  Scroll through the entries to find the one that you would like to edit.  Click on edit or delete.  If you are editing an entry please be sure to click on "Edit reflection" at the bottom of the page to complete the process.

View public reflections (From everyone)
Select "View reflections" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Select "View all reflections" from the menu on the left hand side of the page.

View all of your reflection entries
Select "View reflections" from menu on the far left side of profile information page.  Select "View my reflections" from the menu on the left hand side of the page.

Share personal testimony or insight

Send
Navigate to community member's profile page.  Locate the Testimony/ Insight input box on the bottom left side of member's profile page.  Input information.

Word of Encouragement to Another Member

Send
Navigate to Community Member's page that you desire to leave a word of encouragement.  Scroll down to the word of encouragement section, located on the left side of the profile page.  Choose a word of encouragement statement from the list or choose other to type your own.  click on "submit," to complete the process.
