Welcome to Resolutionsrus. Below you will find a list of our current contests and promotions. Rules for Promotions and Contests All material (pictures, stories, poems, manuscripts, etc.) sent to Resolutionsrus for the purpose of participation in a promotion or contest will become the property of Resolutionsrus and will not be returned. (unless otherwise stated) If you desire a copy of whatever you send to us, please make a copy before you send it to us. Once material is received, we reserve the right to correct spelling, grammatical errors, and edit for brevity. (The only exception is in the case of purposeful rendering for poetry) You will be given credit by Resolutionsrus for all material that we use. Your material will not be used by any company or organization not affiliated with Resolutionsrus without your written permission. Scholarship Contest This contest will run from January 25, 2009 - February 28, 2009 Criteria:
All participants must be currently enrolled in a University or college in the Continental US or Canada.
It is open to all majors and there is no GPA requirement. Requirements:
Create a profile at Resolutionsrus.com (including completing the questions of interest on the profile page).
Write a short essay (150 words or less) completing one of the following questions:
(1) I think that some/most people are unsuccessful in keeping his/her resolutions because...
(2) I have been unsuccessful in keeping past resolutions because....
Check the "How to" section on the site for instructions on how to post an entry. Rules:
All entries must be complete before 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on February 28, 2009.
All sections required for registration must be complete; especially the education section.
Each participant can only submit one entry.
All entries must be original work. Judging:
A panel of judges will choose 10 finalists from among entries received. Community members will then have a chance to vote on the 10 finalists to determine the (2) two winners. Form and grammer are important, but the greater emphasis will be placed on the content. Winners:
The two winners will each receive a check or a Visa Debit Card for $200.00. The checks or cards will be given to the winners to use for educational related expenses as they choose. The winners will have their profiles spotlighted in our member spotlight area and their entry will be displayed on our homepage for a period of 30 days.
